Confidence Killers #8: Self-criticism (video)

In this video series on Confidence Killers, I describe the many ways in which we cripple our self-confidence.

Self-criticism is one of the most negative things we can do. In fact, when we consistently put down or berate ourselves for making poor choices and decisions, it is really a form of self-abuse.

One of the reasons we can be so cruel is that we have grown older and wiser with our years, and choices we made in our younger days can seem foolish, reckless or insane. But unless you have a time machine, you can’t go back and do over.

The truth is that you were making the best decisions you could at the time with the information you had available – but you know better now.

You can’t change the decision but you can choose to stop suffering over your mistakes and drop the self-abuse and self-criticism.

Find out more (and why kindness is key) in this short video.

More about The TRUTH About Confidence…LAST CHANCE TO BOOK

For the first time, I am offering my deep dive workshop to the public on the Truth About Confidence.

In this one-day event I’ll debunk the myths around building confidence and show you where your resilience and self-worth are being hindered rather than helped. I’ll share real-world examples for overcoming barriers and limitations and pragmatic tools that can be applied to any situation.

Jules Bannerv3

No more faking it, or acting as if you feel confident.
No more pretending to feel comfortable, whilst squirming on the inside.
No more frustration over fluctuating self-belief.
Just you, experiencing real confidence!

Here’s what one delegate said about September’s event:

I came in wanting to look for new perspectives and definitely feel I am going away with new perspectives. I have been able to challenge myself and my beliefs today. Jules is so honest and gives so much of herself that it makes it easy to contribute fully to the day and therefore get what you need.

This the last chance to book in 2016: The Truth About Confidence on 16th October. Will you be joining us?
