How to make a decision

I often have discussions with clients about how to make decisions, especially those big, potentially life changing ones. You know, the big – ‘do I stay, do I go’ or ‘is this a yes or no’ type questions.

Some people lose sleep over such decisions.
Some avoid making them.
Others jump in without much thought.
And some decisions never get made.

I don’t believe that there is a right way or a wrong way of making decisions.

I do however have ways that make it easier to decide and I was going to share them with you when two videos landed in my inbox on the same day.

These ladies share my methodology and so I thought, rather that me re-invent the wheel, I would share their videos with you.

Marie Forleo is someone that I have been following for a number of years and this week she answered a question which sums up my decision making process.

She uses 4 tests. The first 3 I do consciously, the 4th I hadn’t thought about, but realise this is something that I practise too.

In this second video, Jo Simpson, thought leader in the international arena of coaching, consulting and corporate innovation, shares how you can use intuition to help with your decision making.

And again it is something that I have been doing for years. Sound interesting? Watch the video here:

So what can you take from these videos and start using for yourself?

Remember, if you have any BIG decisions or life questions, coaching is one of the ways you can overcome obstacles and gain clarity.
